Agama Tented Camp, Namaqualand's newest bush camp experience, lies in the heart of an 8 000 ha farm, 20 km north from Garies, in the centre of the floral kingdom. Agama Tented Camp is a bush camp, a breakaway, skilfully hidden in a secluded “kloof”. It does not intrude into the world of the wild, it is part of it.

A world away from the lush, safari-visited jungles and plains of Africa, Namaqualand, a largely unknown and overlooked corner of South Africa, offers a beauty unsurpassed by all else. Agama Tented Camp invites you to experience this drought-ravaged wilderness both in and out its world-renowned floral season.

The bush camp accommodates 14 people. The comfortable tented accommodation all have their own private bathrooms and spacious decks from where you can absorb this relatively unexplored part of the country. Whether it is an early morning drive, sundowners with breathtaking views, a hike or huddled around a fire in the Kookskerm (Boma), Agama Tented Camp will touch all your senses and offer you an unforgettable experience.

Accommodation:
• Five Twin-bedded luxury tents
• Two luxury tents with king-size beds
• All tents have private rustic bathrooms with shower, basin and toilet
• The camp can accommodate a max of 14 guests
• Tents are serviced daily
• No self-catering facilities are available except for full camp group bookings

There is no electricity at the camp. All tents are fitted with oil lamps for lighting

Children
• Children under the age of 3 years stay for FREE.
• Children sharing with parents pay half price (Max of 2 children sharing a tent with parents).
• All children over 3 years not sharing with parents pay full rates.
Please note: Camping mattresses and bedding for children sharing with parents must be provided. Due to the fire hazard caused by oil lamps we do not recommend children under the age of 16 to occupy a tent without supervision

Self-catering
Book the entire camp on a self catering rate of R4,000/night (not available during the flower season). The camp can accommodate a maximum of 14 guests. The self-catering option includes the dining area, Kookskerm (Boma), Braai equipment (excluding wood), Camping chairs and the Kitchen (Cutlery and crockery, Pots and pans, Burners for cooking (Gas will be provided) and Fridge).
