Bhejane
4X4 Adventures was formed with the vision of conducting guided self
drive 4X4 trails into the remoter areas of Southern Africa. Our
objective is to involve everyone in the ecological, historical,
cultural, ornithological components of the areas we visit. Depending on
the destination, adventure tourism activities are integrated into the
tour and include walking trails, photography, game tracking, bird
watching, fishing, diving and boating excursions.
The tour dynamics allow
you and your family to enjoy the trip from the privacy of your own
vehicle, while ensuring your safety and comfort in the camaraderie of
group participation. All vehicles are issued with hand-held radios to
facilitate communication between participants and expeditions are fully
catered by a professional chef. The team’s language skills enable us to
share our knowledge in either English, Afrikaans, Zulu or Tswana.
The team
The team will be led by a
highly skilled tour guide with extensive experience in tour guiding,
4x4 driver training, and biological interpretation and with a vast
knowledge of the history and culture of all the areas we will be
visiting. Three meals a day will be prepared by our experienced bush
chef in his mobile kitchen, with fresh salads, potjiekos, braais and
many other surprises appearing on the menu. We provide all the tents,
tables, chairs, cutlery and crockery and our logistics crew will pitch
and take down the camps at all the overnight stops we visit. Should
you experience any difficulty, the Bhejane crew do have the “know how”
and recovery equipment to assist with most off-road problems.
Though our bush-camps may be rustic, you will at all times be safe; the
crew will spare no effort to make you comfortable, provide you with
good wholesome food and, most importantly, see that you have a good
time.

Join us on "The Highwayman's Adventure Route" on deep sand tracks
through the vast expanse of Southern Africa’s largest conservation
area. The Central Kalahari Park is the largest in Southern Africa,
twice the size of the Kruger National Park, it boasts a number of
unique endemic species of fauna and flora.
Starting at Khama Rhino Sanctuary in the north, we wind our way through
the parks, camping "rough" in the bush, to where the adventure ends in
Nossop.
Towards the end of summer, presuming reasonable rains have fallen in
the area, the Kgalagadi is noted for its large number of resident
eagles, such as the Martial, Tawny, Black Breasted, Snake and Bateleur.
These are joined in February and March by the migrant raptors, the
Booted Eagle and Steppe Buzzard, and the rare Lesser Spotted Eagle. We
hope to be there when the numbers of eagles will be at their highest.
However, we must not forget all the other wildlife we expect to see in
the harsh but magnificent Kgalagadi Trans-frontier.

A world of infinite horizons, dramatic desertscapes and a diverse
wonder of unique Namib Desert fauna & flora. Do you believe that
travel should be so much more than just looking – and that every
journey should be a life enriching experience? Do you yearn to go
off-the-beaten-track and experience unspoilt nature? If your answer is
YES, then you MUST experience the Namib Desert!
The Namib Desert is a unique part of Southern Africa, which on first
impression looks dangerous and devoid of any life. This
impression however, is very deceiving, as the Namib is full of
surprises with a rich treasure of discovery for those fascinated by its
unique beauty and to safely traverse these mighty dunes is a truly
humbling experience.
Reported to be the oldest desert on earth, the Namib is approximately
80 million years old. Completely devoid of surface water, it is
bisected by several dry riverbeds and is characterised by extensive,
undulating dunes.

South Africa's premier game reserve KNP has in recent years become
extensively larger as its boundaries shift into transfrontier parks and
conservation areas in the form of conservancies .
Three of these areas are exclusive due to their 4x4 access only. The
Makuya area in the northwest, the Letaba Ranch area in the central west
and the Manyaletie area bordering the Sabi Sands . We spend two
nights in each area, in private camps with tented bush lodge
accommodation that only sleep ten people.
This is a private safari with high-tech game viewing, guided drives and
walks, at a very competitive rate.

After the brief summer rains have come and gone the Etosha becomes a
great, dry ghostly place, with mirages shimmering over its vast 130 x

and grassed, with several springs providing water for the numerous
animals and birds which live permanently around the pan.
A visit to Etosha and the Skeleton Coast is a never to be forgotten

that only the "dorsland" of the Kalahari and the Namib can offer.

highly protected ecosystem, that holds many secrets, has been
off-limits to anybody, other than those prepared to tackle the forest
paths on foot or by mountain bike. We invite you to join us on a
professionally guided 4X4 self-drive exploration of the Knysna forests
to unlock some of the forest's best kept secrets.
