A mention here too of the outdoor, 100 000 litre heated swimming pool and sundeck. The surrounding patio has views of Langebaan Lagoon and Saldanha's Bay. On the third floor, high above all, the rooftop look-out and conference venue offers comfortable and spacious privacy.

Situated on the hillside in the Langebaan Country Club area, the views from Falcons' Rest are magnificent. Being away (1.5km) from the more noisy elements closer to the beach, the tranquility is second to none. Early morning birdsong is usually the alarm clock!

At the Southern end of the sheltered water, the Wetlands and surrounding nesting grounds and islands are a proclaimed Ramsar Site by virtue of the numbers and variety of waders, migrants, vagrants - a Birder's paradise.

Hiking trails, bird, game and whale watching can be arranged with local specialist guides. Water sport: windsurfing, canoeing, fishing, sailing, leisure boat trips are all available nearby. Don't forget to visit the West Coast Fossil Park.

Jenny and her staff will gladly organise a varied itinerary for you and cater, in-house for picnics, special occasions: such as birthdays, anniversaries, office and business functions, movie set shoots, braais, etc. Special dietary requirements are catered for.

From the end of July (dependent on rains and sun) the flower season adds another dimension of beauty to the scenery. First the tiny blossoms appear - these can only be spotted when on foot. They are followed by a myriad large white daisies, then merging clouds of yellow and orange, blue, mauve and cerise. Should the rains fall and the sun shine consistently, veld flowers continue to bloom well into October. During this period, the semi-desert West Coast region resembles verdant English Countryside. One glance at the Lagoon and imagination transports one to Scotland, the Lake District or an idyllic Greek Island.

Falcons' Rest has hosted business people from over the world. We take care of the small things and the big things : food, snacks, laundry, email, faxes, etc. The private, comfortable and lounges with honour bars, are ideal for informal business meetings. The rooftop conference venue ensures privacy or unsurpassed, panoramic lagoon view.

Rates
Only bank deposits or internet transfers accepted as payment. All rates include a full breakfast, except for the self-catering apartments. These guests are, however, welcome to order on booking in. All other meals may be booked in the mornings.
