Peace and tranquility awaits you a mere 15 minutes from central Pretoria, 45 minutes from Johannesburg and the Johannesburg International Airport. The Farm Inn is a spread of thatched complexes and individual buildings, built from natural rock, mortar, logs and railway sleepers, combined with beautiful floral prints and solid wooden furniture. Restful thatch and natural airflow combine to ensure that the rooms are warm in winter and cool in summer. All rooms are en-suite and have ceiling fans and many of the rooms have fireplaces and private balconies. Each complex is different, offering different types of accommodation, from luxury suites, through family rooms to individual rooms and longer stay stone cottages. The acres of lush green sanctuary allow the (non carnivore) game, to graze right up to your suite.

The a la carte restaurant offers superb cuisine created by our expert chefs, with wines from the ample cellar. Or you can enjoy the magic of the southern night sky and traditional meals in the African boma (group bookings), around a crackling fire. Every Sunday there is a scrumptious buffet lunch, where you can normally view our lion cubs which are normally on view at the main hotel every weekend. The pool is small and private and there is a separate play area for children. Walk though the grounds or go for an outride from Silver Lakes Horse Stables next door, where there are 14 horses. There are also ponies for the children and classes can be arranged. There is also a full-sized billiard table. Wildlife Pedro, a third generation hotelier, is a member of the Wildlife Trust. He is passionate about all wildlife and is currently involved in wild dog, lion and cheetah building programs. The main lion breeding pair have produced regularly and, at the time of updating this website, there are the pride lion male and female (Tau and Casey), their first son, a fully grown two and a half year old male (Apollo), 4 one year old lionesses, two 9 month old lionesses, and five 5 month old cubs. Pedro exchanges his younger lions with other game parks for cheetah and wild dog. Currently there are 16 species of game to see, as well as a wide variety of bird species. Game drives are offered in large or small groups and Pedro has recently introduced ‘lion walks’ with experienced rangers. Pedro is hoping to introduce all of the Big 5 in the next year or so, and more species including giraffe, in a full safari park.

Conferences
The 12 conference rooms vary in size and can be configured from 8 people in 'boardroom' style to 300 delegates in 'cinema' style. We can cater for residential and non-residential conferences and courses, and provide a wide range of refreshments. The Lion Camp Conference Room and Boma provide a private breakaway venue in the bush, whilst syndicate sessions can be held in the many meeting points in the gardens. Drumming workshops get that team building going in the bomas. And of course we provide all the standard equipment needed for a conference.

Weddings and Functions
The Farm Inn can cater for virtually any kind of function. Our 12 conference rooms can be configured to any specification and décor. We can provide you with comprehensive lists of suppliers of flowers, music, entertainment or whatever you need. Our two chapels are simply charming – a wedding at Farm Inn will create a lasting memory. Your reception can be a small intimate gathering or a ‘big bash’. Photographs in the luxurious gardens or even with our lion cubs will set the seal on a special day. We will pamper the bride and groom in a complimentary room and breakfast as part of the package.

Also available is the beauty salon where you can enjoy reflexology, facials and manicures. Our dedicated team of professionals will see to every detail of the event, allowing you to build solid business relations in a relaxed atmosphere.
