Our 16 thatched luxury en-suite chalets are a fascinating, inspired blend of traditional Swazi materials and glass panelled front walls creating a delicious combination of warmth and light. Waterways meander through the indigenous landscaped gardens enclosed by a serpentine braided wattle fence. The feather pillows & down duvets, sheen & linen mixed with hessian & printed cloth complete the cultural / contemporary synthesis unique to our style. Each chalet sleeps two in single or double bed configurations.

TASTE OF AFRICA RESTAURANT
Our renowned restaurant, run by the well-known Ugandan chef, Richard Warangoloo is not only a culinary delight, It is part of the Hawane experience. Thatch, intertwined wood and our huge central fireplace provide the warmth while our step down glass porch with seating brings in the light. African-fusion cuisine from across the continent grace the menu with a wide selection of vegetarian and spiced dishes to suit all palettes. Feel free to sample something special from our wine cellar. Our hand-picked selection of South African wines and spirits are there for you to enjoy. Kids and bar menus available.

HORSE TRAILS
Our stables boasts an outstanding selection of well schooled, obedient pintos, boerperde and swazi ponies suitable for all levels of horsemanship. Whether your are an experienced rider or an easygoing passenger, our knowledgeable, experienced guides and grooms match horse to rider to give you as much comfort...or fire as you desire. We offer various packages and outrides depending on experience of riders and time available to our guests (outrides, 1 to 2 hour rides, day and picnic rides & lessons). Our horses are gentle, loving and friendly and hold top priority in our yard. They are responsive and easy-going, comfortable to ride and all have soft mouths. Breeds include the South African Boerperd, Arab, Thoroughbred and Warmblood, most being cross-bred for strength, character and hardiness. We are also breeding for the future and usually have a foal or 2 around.

CONFERENCING
Our fully equipped conference room is now complete and available for hire. Seating for up to 78 people can be arranged in a classroom configuration. Dedicated lap top plug points are situated throughout the room. A full range of equipment including a data projector is available for hire. Full prices are quoted with booking enquiries. 3 Types of lighting levels are provided to suit various applications. Situated away from the main lodge for privacy and with its own ablutions, service kitchen and bar, this room is ideal for social functions, weddings,team building, meeting and incentive groups.

ACTIVITIES
Archery
Try your hand Robin Hood Style with our archery set. Parental supervision is essential at all times. Our instructor will give you a bit of a demonstration and safety talk then 'aim way' and test your skill. (Charges apply.)
Board Games
We have a wide variety of board games available in the lounge available for use at all times. The games include Scrabble, 30 seconds, Chess, Cards, Backgammon, Trivial Pursuit and Dominoes.
Bocce/Petang
This game can be enjoyed either by a group or by yourself over any terrain.
Children
We consider ourselves a family-friendly Resort, which means we try to keep both adults and children comfortable and happy. Children are welcome to play in the Recreational Center as well as participate in the activities offered by Hawane Resort under adult supervision. We offer pre arranged day care and baby sitting services.
Croquet
A croquet set is available for use at your convenience.
Mountain Biking
We have a beautiful countryside to explore with Mountain Bikes. Pre booking is essential for guided tours
Fishing
Basic rods and tackle are available but serious fishermen should bring their own. Hawane Dam is fully stocked with many fish species, namely Carp, Bream, Bass, Barbell AND even Trout. Enjoy fishing from the shore or the double kayak. (kayak rental applies)
Hiking
Guided hiking can be arranged with advanced bookings min groups of 6 apply. Feel free to walk to either of our 2 local dams or just around the area. Our private gate into the Malalotja Nature Reserve is within walking distance of the resort.
Horse-Riding
Our trails can be specifically tailored for all types of riding experience. Whether you are a cowboy at heart or just a relaxed passenger, there is a trail and horse suited to you. Rates Apply
Kayaking
Paddle across the Hawane Dam in our 2 man Jacana c-Kayak.
Motor Biking/Quad Biking
Bring your own bikes or quads and spend your time exploring almost uncharted territories. Guided tours can be arranged, booking in advance is essential. Terms and conditions apply.
Golf
The new international rage: Off course golf. Be one of the first to play this unique and very addictive game.
Volley Ball
Available at your leisure, our staff will assist with setting up.
Waterskiing
By prior arrangement, maximum group size of 8 applies. Book us out for unlimited skiing at the scenic Lupholo dam. Packed lunches are arranged. Rates on enquiry.
Motor Boating
