ACCOMMODATION
Kagga Kamma is currently the only Game Lodge in South
Africa with four star graded luxury caves. The
ten caves and five huts in the Bushmen Lodge are beautifully
furnished with all the comforts you can think of. 
The
Tourism Grading Council of South Africa awarded the star
grading during December 2002.
We can accommodate up to 30 delegates
(14 twin rooms, and 1 double) in the Bushmen Lodge. We
do however have 3 bedroom chalets on the reserve as well
which we use for group of more than 30.
ACTIVITIES
Kagga Kamma is home to a wide variety of antelope species
of the drier Western parts of Southern Africa and also
specialises in providing guests with an in-depth interpretation
of the rock paintings, that dates back up to 6000 years,
on its celebrated San cultural tours. Guests can also
go on
Morning- or Night Game drives and has Sundowners at the
spectacular 500-meter deep Rietriver Canyon, the second
largest Canyon in South Africa. We are also opening a
Mini observatory in November 2003. The dry clear air and
the absence of light pollution make this one of the best
places for stargazing in South Africa.
Our
conference facilities has recently been upgraded and can
now accommodate up to ±80 delegates (80-cinema,
40-classroom, 24-u-shape) and are fully equipped. The
Rooikat Conference Room, situated at the Bushmen Lodge,
it provides an ideal setting for hard work during the
day and lots of outdoor activities to choose from to take
a break.
Your choice of excursions on the reserve
is:
- Morning Game Drive
Professional guides take you an open 4 x 4 vehicle. View
animals such as Bontebok, Oryx, White Tail Gnu, Blue Wildebeest,
Zebra, Ostrich and Eland. Spot unique bird species. 245
different bird species (of which 60 are endemic &
near endemic to the area).
- Bushmen Cultural Tour
Experience the oldest culture in the world by visiting
ancient Bushman living sites. Spend time with our highly
trained guides who will explain the highlights of the
San culture. See the Bushman artefacts, eating utensils,
hunting gear, rare paintings, etc.
- Rietriver Canyon Tour
Sundowners at these amazing 500m gorge, while watching
the Black Eagles soar into the sunset.
