Situated in the Naauwpoort valley of the Magaliesberg, Magalies Bush Lodge (formerly Linyati Game Lodge) is the ideal bush break, for the real nature lover.

We offer fully equipped, self catering rustic log chalets with private boma and/or a brick chalet with private boma. Come and relax whilst enjoying magnificent views amongst the jackal’s cry.

All of the chalets have bedding, towels (except swimming towels), cutlery, crockery, soap, dishwashing liquid and toilet paper. There is also a gas stove, microwave oven, toaster and kettle. All of the chalets have heaters and fans in the room. All the beds have electric blankets (except bunk beds) and all beds have double duvets on in winter. Each chalet has its own braai area for your exclusive use, with braai grid, chairs and table. There are also stoeps at every chalet, giving you a lovely view of the valley. All of the chalets face in different directions and are about 30m apart, overlooking the Naauwport Valley in the Magaliesberg area.

The wildlife on the Game Lodge include Blesbok, Black Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest, Duiker, Porcupine, Mongoose, Jackal, Spotted Genet and more. The Game Lodge also has a wonderful variety of birdlife.

Leisure activities include game viewing (by foot or vehicle), view the game from a hide, bird watching, 4 X 4 track challenge, bicycle ride for many km in unspoilt area, swimming pool with braai area, DSTV (at main house) and small farmyard for the children.

Leisure activities within area include horse riding, mountain trials, curio & gift shop, tea gardens, cheese factories, candle dipping, hand crafted furniture factories, and the oldest gold mine in Gauteng. Big 5 Game Reserve +/- 80 km away.

Only 85 km from Johannesburg and Pretoria, 60 km from Sandton and 35 km from Rustenburg.

All rates are self-catering. Please bring your own fire wood. Single night bookings are only accepted during the week and a surcharge applies. A minimum 2-night stay is required over weekends and a minimum 3-night stay is required over long weekends and during holiday periods.
