Magoebaskloof Getaway Cottages (previously known as Missio Dei Cottages and also incorporating MGetaway Cottages) provide a welcome stopover for business travellers, sales executives and holiday makers. It is an oasis of peace and tranquillity where one is able to unwind and enjoy the lush subtropical vegetation. The magic of fresh spring running water is a taste of heaven, while taking the chance to breathe some clean, fresh air.

Magoebaskloof Getaway Cottages are serenely situated in a beautiful fertile valley on the escarpment of the Drakensburg in the scenic mountainous setting of Magoebaskloof, only 15km from the historic village of Haenertsburg and a mere 23km from Tzaneen. The cottages are less than three hours drive from Pretoria, and are situated amongst spectacular mountain scenery in the Limpopo (Northern) Province.

You are at liberty to wander throughout the area, through the forests and river while enjoying and experiencing the call of the prolific birdlife in a peaceful environment. This district boasts some of the most beautiful and exotic gardens in South Africa. During Spring there is a magnificence of brilliantly coloured azaleas and flowering cherries. Come Fly-fishing in the beautiful mountains of Magoebaskloof where trout fishing is an extremely popular pastime and sport.

On the farm is a beautiful Trout dam and another dam with bass. There is also a volley ball court, jungle gym for the kids and a beautiful hiking trail with two majestic waterfalls. The hiking trail goes to the top of the farm alongside a perennial stream. While on your way up you can have a shower under the waterfall in crystal clean spring water. Come and experience nature at it best.

Types of Self-Catering Cottages:
Narina Trogon: (Sleeps 4). This self catering cottage has a bathroom/shower, lounge, dining room/kitchen which is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave and soda stream, fire place, braai area and personal garden with ponds.

Trout:(Sleeps 6). This fully self catering cottage has a room with a double bed and another room with two bunk beds. It also has a shower/toilet, lounge/dining room and kitchen which is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave and soda stream, fire place, braai area and personal garden with ponds.

Samango: (Sleeps 11). This magnificent cottage has a beautiful 14m x 4m wooden deck with x2 reclining wooden sun beds and x3 wooden table benches. This self catering cottage has four bedrooms with a queen size bed, one double bed and a single bed and two other bedroom which each having two single beds each. It also has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave. There are two bathroom/shower with toilet and basins. There are two lounges, with one having a dining room and another lounge has a fire place and a pull out bed. In the personal garden there is a braai area with ponds and dams.

Cabana: (Sleeps 2). The Cabana is awesomely situated just above our Trout Dam and only has 2 beds with side lamp, a basin and area to make your coffee etc. and you need to use ablution and kitchen facilities in the camping sites which close by about 50m away.

There is a restaurant just 3 km from the cottages and another 5km for those wanting to eat out.
