Tony & Alma invite you to experience the magic of Mohlabetsi. This is Africa at its best - combining intimacy with nature, comfort and warm hospitality. Situated near the Kruger Park, the lodge is easily accessible and an ideal base from which to explore all the region has to offer.

We are situated in the vast Balule Nature Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger Park, home to the "Big Five" and world famous for its abundance of animal and bird life. Game drives are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles and our guides have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the fauna in the region.

Guests are accommodated in en-suite rondawels with an attractive Afro-ethnic theme, or at our self-catering Bush Lodge. Whether sipping sundowners on a game drive, or relaxing beside the sparkling pool, guests soon discover that at Mohlabetsi, the accent is on comfort and unobtrusive attentiveness. And meals are a culinary delight!

Safari Lodge
Mohlabetsi Safari Lodge offers the perfect African experience. A welcoming oasis in the bush, set amongst shady trees with sweeping view over the bush and the Drakensberg Mountains beyond. A well-frequented waterhole is in the foreground and a host of birds provide soothing background sounds. The camp is unfenced, making it a real part of its environment, and animals wander through when the camp is still. Six ethnic rondawels, under thatch, are comfortably furnished in an African style and have en suite facilities. They are well insect-proofed and have overhead fans to keep the rooms cool and comfortable. The central living area has a lapa under thatch with wonderful views and drinks close at hand. The pool, set amongst shady trees, is a haven on hot summer days.

Bush Lodge
Your own private self-catering lodge! Enjoy the pleasure of this small camp with family and friends which has all the amenities to ensure a relaxing and comfortable stay. With four comfortable en-suite rooms, under thatch, and a rustic Ranger’s Room, The Lodge is able to accommodate ten guests. There is a central kitchen, a lapa with a superb view on to a waterhole, as well as a sparkling pool with a wonderful braai area, ideal for sitting around log fires in the evening. An attentive staff keeps the camp neat and tidy and all you need to bring are your food and drinks. The daily programme includes a morning foot safari and an evening game drive. These exciting excursions are included in the rate.
