Situated in the beautiful, malaria free Waterberg, Nkonka Bush Lodge offers a chance to relax and experience the diverse African environment and wildlife. Lying just 2-3 hours north of Johannesburg or Pretoria in the Limpopo Province, it’s an invitation to a tranquil bushveld getaway.

Accommodation at the 4 star Lodge comprises of 4 double or twin-bedded chalets all en-suite and fully serviced. Family rooms can be prepared and infant facilities are available. The chalet interiors are warmly decorated to create a relaxing and comfortable feel. The small intimate nature of the camp allows for personal attention to all our guests needs, as making their stay a memorable one is important to us.

The chalets encircle the splash pool where guests can relax under the African sun. We are a fully catered lodge, serving early morning tea, coffee, fruit and rusks, midmorning brunch, afternoon tea or snacks and a 3 course sumptuous evening meal. All meals are enjoyed in the outside dining room and the evening meals around the fire under the star filled African skies. There is a separate lounge and bar with satellite television for guests to use at their leisure.

There is something for everyone at Nkonka, enjoy informative early morning and afternoon game drives in an open safari vehicle or walks, with our experienced and qualified guide. With abundant animal and bird life there is a lot for the novice and experienced bush lover to enjoy! The drives and walks are filled with both interesting aspects of fauna as well as the very diverse flora found within the area. We have a viewing hide and deck where guests can unwind and observe the wildlife.

Other activities can be organized on request – elephant back rides, 4x4 trails, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, abseiling, fishing and educational days out to museums, like the rhino museum and local points of interest.

At Nkonka one can spend their days filled with exciting activities or just relaxing, but all are ended sipping sundowners on the deck watching another day in Africa pass!
