The meaning of the word "Nsele" is "honey-badger" in the Zulu Language.

Nsele Lodge is situated approximately 45 minutes' drive from the world famous Kruger National Park and borders some of the most famous nature reserves in Southern Africa. At Nsele you can experience unpretentious, but luxurious and comfortable accommodation and service at an ultra-affordable price.

Our lodge comprises four exquisitely, tastefully furnished thatched en-suite chalets overlooking a small splash pool, ideally for revitalizing weary minds and bodies. The lodge can accommodate up to eight adults in our four main chalets and our recently renovated loft areas in three of these chalets can now accommodate two children each in a unique "camp-like" setting - this proved to be a great hit with children. A little further away from the main chalets, we also have another chalet that can sleep two persons - ideal for honeymooners.

Mealtimes are, of course, one of the highlights at Nsele Safari's & Lodge. Here we enjoy our mouth-watering breakfasts either under the beautiful bushveld trees or in the boma, while our equally mouth-watering dinners are also served at the boma with an open fire (weather permitted) while listening to the sounds of the bushveld. We also offer scrumptious picnic baskets, should day-tours be undertaken. A cash bar is also available at the lodge.

Even though we are not situated directly in a Big-5 area (as we are fenced off), tailor-made tours are offered in the surrounding areas and Big-5 areas; clients are transferred in a closed vehicle to the activities where they go onto open vehicles for the tours - such tours include spotlight safari's where the opportunity to view the many nocturnal creatures hunting at night, is offered, as well as guided safari walks with an armed ranger.

Optional activities include Kruger Park tours, escarpment tours, micro light flying, elephant back safaris and visits to the white lion breeding project, Kapama cheetah research project, Moholoholo rehabilitation centre and Nyani cultural village.

Nsele Lodge prides itself on scrumptious meals and excellent service. We have a quality guarantee if our clients are not satisfied with the service at Nsele Lodge - we give 50% on the accommodation rate back should the client not be happy!

Transfers are available from Eastgate, Phalaborwa and Kruger-Mpumalanga airports.
