The Royal Guest House is situated in the quaint town of Port Alfred midway between Port Elizabeth and East London in the malaria free Eastern Cape province of South Africa.

The Kowie River runs through the town and has a beautiful marina. The guest house is two minutes' drive (or ten minutes' walk) from the centre of town where you can do all your shopping, banking, dining and laundry.

plush lounge suite overlooks the beautiful marina. A sliding door from the lounge opens onto a magnificent wooden deck (with pool and loungers) overlooking the marina with a sea view.

The Royal Guest House consists of six up market rooms, each with en-suite bathroom, telephone, flat screen TV with selected DSTV channels, bar fridge, bedside clock radio, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and air conditioning.

Your hosts, Hugo and Amanda, are always on hand to make your stay at the Royal a memorable experience from the moment you arrive! For example, they will collect you from Port Elizabeth or East London's airports, organize car hire, game reserve trips, deep sea fishing, hiking, canoe trips, river cruises or outings to the beach (five minutes away).

A Continental or full English breakfast is served in our dining room or on the deck. Home cooked dinners are available by arrangement or can be ordered from the local restaurants.
