 Ruimte Big 5 "where Africa comes to life!" is located in the heart of the African Bushveld. The lodge is situated on the banks of the Klaserie River. The lush riverine forest and lodge garden is home to over 200 identified bird species. This makes Ruimte Big 5 a bird lover’s paradise.
Ruimte Big 5 is literally surrounded by some of the most spectacular game viewing and scenic locations, most popular of them all the Kruger Park. We have also easy access to the third largest canyon in the world, the Blyde River Canyon. Ruimte Big 5 is easily accessible and is a mere 15 min. drive from Eastgate Airport.
 Located in the heart of the bushveld adjacent to Thornybush and Kapama Reserves you will find Ruimte Big 5 Safari Lodge. For those seeking a slightly less hectic form of relaxation, the Klaserie River that forms the boundary between Ruimte Big 5 Safari Lodge and Kapama (the famous Cheetah breeding project) will provide many hours of fishing.
The waterhole in front of the main lodge is definitely the main attraction for old and young, with an abundance of wildlife including Zebra, Giraffe and Wildebeest.  We cater for up to 28 adult guests and children are more than welcome at the lodge. Many hiking trails are available to our guests. Other excursions such as the panoramic route, Big 5 game drives, and trips into Kruger Park etc are also available.
The chalets have en-suite bathrooms and full electricity. Canvas front and sides, thatched roofs and wooden viewing decks provide an out of Africa ambience. The chalets are equipped with mini bar fridges and a coffee and tea station. Mosquito nets are draped over the beds.
 Lighting along pathways and chalets complete an evening fairytale of accommodation for a total of 24 guests in 12 chalets.
