River rafting takes place on the lower Sabie River. The rafting excursion starts at Aan De Vliet and runs downstream for about 6 kilometres. We use 2 man inflatable "croc rafts". Life jackets and helmets and all other safety equipment are provided. A picnic meal on the banks of the river can be arranged on request. The maximum group size that can be accommodated is 24 people per trip. We offer 2 trips a day, at 10:00am and 14:00. Children are welcome depending on the water level.

Tubing (approx 4 hours)

Feel the waters of the Sabie River rushing underneath you while you face the rapids. Enjoy the unsurpassed scenery on the banks of the Sabie River. A 4-hour excursion on a tailor made tube in the upper part of the Sabie River. This is the most thrilling adventure in the region. Safety is secured thanks to river guides and safety gear. This is a high adrenalin activity and not suitable for children under the age of 14. A maximum of 25 people can be taken in a group. Full body wetsuits are available for rental if the weather is cold. White Water Tubing is also the ultimate kloofing experience. 3 optional jumps are part of the route. Archery (approx 1.5 to 2 hours)

We offer an introduction to the art of archery. The minimum group size is 6 people and the maximum is 20 people. We use standard "long-bows" which are fairly easy to master. This is a fun activity with various disciplines or "target games" - enjoyable for groups, and equally enjoyed by men and women.

Abseiling (approx 3 hours)

The abseil takes place from a granite outcrop, between Hazyview and the Kruger Park, accessible only by 4x4 vehicle. The site offers spectacular views across the Lowveld and it is elevated well above the surrounding area, which makes "going over the edge" a breathtaking experience. A minimum of 2 abseils per person are undertaken. The rate includes the transfer from Sabie River Adventures to the abseil site and return, as well as soft drinks.

Hiking (approx 5 to 6 hours)

This is a guided trail of about 5km along the Sabie River. The route covers an area with wide biodiversity and spectacular natural beauty, past a waterfall where a picnic is served. The rate includes transport back to Sabie River Adventures. Advance booking is essential.
