Tomjachu is an exclusive private estate in approximately 1000 acres of game fenced mountain bushveld. The Lodge itself is surrounded by beautiful gardens and lawns with a large swimming pool and terraces. It is remarked upon regularly by locals as being one of the most beautiful and serene locations, in an area where beauty abounds. The Lodge is set in its own valley with breathtaking views across the Bekker Mountains.

Having been originally built in the 90’s as a private home, the Lodge has been lovingly refurbished and redecorated to the highest of standards, in a traditional and very comfortable country house style, enhanced by personal touches and family antiques.

Situated 10 Km from Nelspruit, provincial capital of Mpumalanga, less than three and half hours drive due east from Johannesburg on national N4 toll road. Located in the Bekker Mountains, 800m above sea level. The Mpumalanga-Kruger International Airport is a 25 minute drive (transfers by the lodge's minibus can be arranged). Kruger National Park (Malelane Gate) is a 40 minute drive.

ZEBRA HEIGHTS with a little lapa and Barbeque/Braai, with views to the North West, breathtaking vista between the Mid Escarpment and the Kruger National Park.
THE BUSH LAPA is set on a magnificent rock slab in the heart of the bush, the perfect place to lunch or barbeque(braai) in the evenings, under its cool thatch or the ceiling of African stars
GORDON'S POOLS Just a short walk away from The Bush Lapa. Cool rock pools, under a waterfall, surrounded by lush, shade-giving trees.
THE NORTH DAM is a ten minute walk from the Lodge. An ideal place to watch kudu, impala, zebra and wildebeest.
SOUTH DAM is ideal for fishing, bird watching, diving off the pontoon and swimming Bush breakfasts or a picnic under the shaded lapa.


RATES
Inclusive breakfast. Lunch is available at R60pp en dinner at R135pp. Children by prior arrangement with management. Children sharing with adults under the age of 12 years pay 50% of adult rate. Children under the age of 2 years stay complimentary. Game drives are R105 per person.
